Blackberry Chia Pudding

If you learn ONE recipe only, learn this one. Chia pudding is so simple, easy to take on the road, and actually pretty filling. Here’s an extremely basic recipe using blackberries. You can swap blackberries for any other berry (I love using a mix of raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries). Blend: 1 c coconut water 1 c berries Pour into a glass jar (or container of your choice) and mix in 1/4 c chia seeds. Continue to mix the chia seeds every 2 min or so. The mixture will thicken over time. In roughly ten minutes the chia seeds should be fully

The truth is…

You ever get in bad mood and not know why? (I know this sounds like a pharmaceutical ad, but bear with me… ) Like maybe you wake up and feel pissed off before you even get outta bed (“Did I have a bad dream or what??“) Or you’re hangin with a group of friends and feel totally numb and disengaged (“Where the hell did this come from?” “Why can’t I just enjoy myself?“) This used to happen to me a lot, actually, especially in my early-mid 20s. Like on a Saturday, for instance, I’d be getting ready for a “fun” night out with friends.

[2017] 7-day raw food challenge

Ya know, over the years, whenever I felt restless or on edge (aka anxiety), I pointed the finger at “too much work,” “too little me time”, “not enough rest,” “not enough sleep,” etc. etc. While all those things could have played a role, I was recently reminded of the bigger picture… This is what I read: “When growth and evolution stop, anxiety builds up. Why I get off Instagram + back on my own mat

What kinda Instagram posts do you get lost in? Workout videos of beautifully toned and beautifully tanned women? Health bloggers with perfect recipes photographed in perfect bowls? Or maybe the private lives of your favorite celebs, or just the everyday lives of your friends? You ever observe what’s goin through your mind when you’re scrolling through this stuff? Are you inspired? Envious? Like, does it make you wanna get in the kitchen and whip up your own buddha bowl? Or drop everything and get to a boxing class so you too can take sweaty photos in a sports bra? OR does

When the Netflix cure just doesn’t cut it

Sometimes it happens when the lights go low, right? Or when the sun hasn’t come out for days (like here in Boston!)… or any other random time, just cuz we’re human. I’m talkin’ bout those moments we’re alone with ourselves. And a restless, uncomfortable feeling creeps in. Maybe it’s just loneliness. Or maybe doubt. Regret. Sadness or fear. In those moments, what’s your go to? call to Mom? late night run? Netflix binge? Or maybe grabbing an Uber to the closest bar, or texting “hey” to that guy you kinda like, but don’t really like (but maybe he’s good enough for just

This is it, your last chance to order Jo Jo’s Raw Chocolate Truffles for the someone(s) you love.                               Remember, this isn’t any old chocolate.
